- Free Cow Craft Template <— Get it Here
- colored copy paper, colored cardstock, or construction paper
- scissors
- stapler
- glue stick (click here to see my favorite brand)
- black marker (for the details)
- Paper Plate (Optional, see next paragraph)
I made this craft with a paper circle (it’s part of the template). But you could easily turn this into a paper plate cow craft by replacing the circle with a white paper plate.
paper plate crafts are lots of fun. They are super easy prep and gives the craft a little more texture and sturdiness.

Step 2: Cut Out the Cow Craft Shapes
Print the free cow printable templates. You will be stapling them to colored paper and cutting out as many shapes as you need.
If you want to make this craft with a group of kids, you can staple the template to up to 10 sheets of copy paper, 5 sheets of cardstock or 5-8 sheets of construction paper.
So, did you know, you can staple together 10 pieces of copy paper and cut out 10 shapes at a time?! That’s my SECRET to fast & easy crafting.
Stapling the paper is very important because it makes sure it doesn’t move as you cut. The more staples the better. Cardstock is the thickest so you may only be able to cut 5 sheets at a time.
Tip: While you’re cutting, if you cut off all parts of the pages that have staples, make sure to re-staple the sheets that are left.
Whenever you’re cutting multiple sheets at a time, make sure they are always stapled together.

Step 3: How to Assemble
The kids will just need to glue it all together and make it their own.

- Glue the legs to the bottom of the big circle.
- Glue on white ears – I like to glue them to the back of the cow’s head.
- Glue the pink parts on of the ear onto the cow’s head.
- Glue on the cow’s black spots.
- Glue on the pink snout / muzzle.
- Use a marker to draw eyes on your cow or use googly eyes.
- Draw on some nostrils and a cute smile.
- Don’t forget to put your name on the back.
