Sometimes, we all need some new toy suggestions. Here are a bunch of mine and my kids favorites.
I want you to know I am only listing products that I have purchased and/or own. My kids and I really like these products. I feel very strongly about this. I always try a product before I recommend it. I will always give you my honest opinion on a product. If you ever have a question about a product feel free to contact me!
Also, CraftingJeannie is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. I do get a small commission from some of the products you see here at no extra cost to you and if you do purchase through me, you have my sincere and heartfelt thanks! Hope you enjoy the products are much as I do:
Wall Stickers always make a great stocking stuffer for kids and they’re usually not that expensive.
Construction Wall Stickers
Toddlers & Preschoolers
I’ve always been a believer (especially for younger kids) that the age on the box is usually the most appropriate gauge for kid enjoyment.
Also, younger kids can get really excited about items that aren’t toys. This is the age when you can get new placements or a dinosaur cup and they are just as fun.
These are toys my kids all loved when they were toddlers and preschool aged.
Candy Land. This game is perfect for little ones!
Inflatable Bed Rail Bumper.
Ok, this isn’t a gift idea but something I LOVE for my kids. Just blow up and put under the sheets. Perfect for holiday travel!
A is for Apple. I always like to give books, I love to encourage reading, so I’ll suggest books for every age group.
Boynton Board Books. We love any board book by Sandra Boynton. They are so fun to read!
5, 6, and 7 year olds
As I’ve said before, these are all toys I have purchased or own. I’ve only included ones that my kids and I love. This age group loves toys! Some of the items I recommend would also be great gifts for the older age-group.
I have the most board games listed here in the 5, 6, 7 year old category, because this is when kids can actually start playing fun board games. But like other items I recommend, a lot of these can be bumped up an age-group.
A capture the flag game kids love.
U.S. States Board Game. Sometimes you can get lucky and sneak something educational by your kiddos. This is one of those items. This U.S. States board game is super fun!
5 Minute Dungeon
This is our new favorite game. Everyone in our family loves it. They also have 5 minute Marvel.
5, 6, and 7 year olds
X-Shot Water gun
Best water gun ever!! It’s soo easy to fill, kids can do it on their own.
Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe.
We are a Play-Doh family and this is our FAVORITE machine
Star Wars Bed Sheets
(not just Star Wars, has different styles)
Gymnastics Mat. We have the 4X10FT mat and we love it!
EggMazing Easter Egg Decorator. This it totaly an Easter gift, but we have fun making hard-boiled eggs and using this any time of the year.
8, 9, and 10 year olds
This age group is PERFECT for pretty much all lego sets (and lego knock-offs). However, I was surprised with how much lego cost when we started buying them. But they sure are fun! I’ve listed some of our favorites.
Toys for 8, 9, and 10 year olds
Crime Catchers Science Kit. I HIGHLY recommend this kit. It needs help from an adult but it is sooo much fun!
We have this gun and it has never jammed (yet!)
I have the most books listed in the 8, 9, 10 year old category, but like other items I recommend, a lot of these can be bumped up or down an age-group.
