Enjoy this Grinch activity for preschoolers while reading these Fun Books:
Step 1: Download and Print the Free Printable Template
Download the Grinch Craft Freebie. The PDF file contains everything you need to make this easy Christmas time craft.

The PDF also comes with a Grinch poem printable. It’s a quote from the book that says:
“Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”
Step 2: Cut Out the Grinch Craft Shapes
Print the Grinch templates. You will be stapling them to colored paper and cutting out as many shapes as you need.

If you want to make this craft with a group of kids, you can staple the template to up to 10 sheets of copy paper, 5 sheets of cardstock or 5-8 sheets of construction paper.
So, did you know, you can staple together 10 pieces of copy paper and cut out 10 shapes at a time?! That’s my SECRET to fast & easy crafting.
Stapling the paper is very important because it makes sure it doesn’t move as you cut. The more staples the better. Cardstock is the thickest so you may only be able to cut 5 sheets at a time.
Tip: While you’re cutting, if you cut off all parts of the pages that have staples, make sure to re-staple the sheets that are left.
Whenever you’re cutting multiple sheets at a time, make sure they are always stapled together.
Step 3: Optional Tip: Print the Free Printable Grinch Face Template directly onto Construction Paper
You can also print or copy the template directly onto construction paper. My mind was blown when I learned to print directly onto construction paper.

Just trim the construction paper to the 8×10 size using copy paper as a template (you should easily be able to trim multiple sheets at a time).
Step 4: How to Assemble
There are two ways to make this craft… with a pre-printed face OR by drawing on the face yourself. I’ll put the steps together so you can walk through either way.
You may want to have a finished copy of the craft for the kiddos to reference.

- Glue the eyebrows onto Grinch face. (OR Glue the printed grinch face onto the head)
- Glue the nose onto face.
- Use a marker to draw on the smile and eyes.
- Glue the trim onto the Santa hat.
- Glue the hat onto the head.
- Glue the ball to the end of the hat.
- Glue the Grinch poem printable to the back of the craft.
- Don’t forget to put your name on the back.

Step 1: Glue the eyebrows onto Grinch face.

Step 2: Glue the nose onto face.

Step 3: Draw on the smile and eyes.

Step 1A: Glue the printed grinch face onto the head.

Step 4: Glue the trim onto the Santa hat.

Step 5: Glue the hat onto the head.
