- colored copy paper, colored cardstock, or construction Paper
- scissors (good pair)
- glue sticks
- black marker (for face)
Step 1: Get the printable
Download the Free Bee Kind Printable. You will be stapling the templates to sheets of colored paper and cutting out shapes up to 10 at a time.
Step 2: Staple and cut out the Bee shapes
Once you have the print outs, staple them to up to 10 sheets of copy paper, 5 sheets of cardstock or 5 sheets of construction paper.
That’s my SECRET to fast & easy crafting. Did you know, you can staple together 10 pieces of copy paper and cut out 10 shapes at a time?! Stapling the paper is very important because it makes sure it doesn’t move as you cut. The more staples the better.
Tip: While you’re cutting, if you’ve cut off all parts of the pages that have staples, make sure to re-staple the sheets that are left.
Whenever you’re cutting multiple sheets at a time, make sure they are always stapled together!
I will say, cutting out the antennae is a little tedious, just make sure you have at least 5-6 pieces of paper stapled together and you’ll have enough in no time!
Step 3: Cut out the word kind
Next, you will need to cut out the word kind. This is a little bit more difficult because you want to keep the printed shape for the craft.
You will need to print or copy the page with the word kind as many times as you need for the craft.
Again, you can staple them together and cut out multiple pieces at once. Just make sure you line the paper up perfectly before stapling.
Once the pages are stapled together, you should be able to cut out a bunch at once.
Step 4: How to Assemble your Bee Craft
- glue the head to the body
- glue the heart wings behind the body
- glue the triangle stinger behind the body
- glue on the antenna
- glue on the word kind
- glue the black stripes on either side of the word kind
- personalize the bee with a face
- don’t forget to write your name on the back
And you’re done!!
The kids will just need to glue it all together! After the pieces are all together, they can draw on eyes and and a mouth.
It took me about 10 minutes to have the supplies for 20 kids. How amazing is that?! Now you’re ready to take your Kindness Bee craft to your event. This would be a great craft for girl scouts, boy scouts or just a fun school party idea.
