Step 1: Download and Print the Free Template

Download and print the Free Flying Saucer Craft Template. You will be stapling the template to sheets of colored paper to cut out the shapes. Print as many as you need if you’re making this craft in a group setting.

The Spaceship Template has everything you need to make this fun UFO craft.

Tip: If you don’t have a printer you can always put white copy paper up to your computer screen and trace the template.

Step 2: Staple and Cut Out the Craft Shapes

Once you have the craft templates printed out, staple them to construction paper and cut out multiple shapes at a time.

Note: If you want to make this craft with a group of kids, you can staple the template to up to 10 sheets of copy and construction paper or 5 sheets of cardstock. Just make sure you have a pair of good scissors.

So, did you know, you can staple together 10 pieces of paper and cut out 10 shapes at a time?! That’s my SECRET to fast & easy crafting.

Stapling the paper is very important because it makes sure it doesn’t move as you cut. The more staples the better. Cardstock is the thickest so you may only be able to cut 5 sheets at a time.

Tip: While you’re cutting, if you cut off all parts of the pages that have staples, make sure to re-staple the sheets that are left. Whenever you’re cutting multiple sheets at a time, make sure they are always stapled together.

Step 3: How to Make the Preschool Space Craft

Make this cute Preschool Spaceship Craft

I recommend having a finished craft so the children can see what the final version will look like.

  1. First, glue the bottom onto the spaceship
  2. Glue the circle details onto the bottom of the spaceship
  3. Glue the antenna onto the top of the spaceship
  4. Use markers and googly eyes to add a fun face to your alien (extraterrestrial)
  5. Glue the alien into your spaceship – Don’t forget to write your name on the back.
