- copy paper and color printer
- ORANGE PAPER for the footprint craft
- washable tempera paint in fun colors
- sponge paintbrush
- baby wipes (optional for cleanup)
Step #1: Get The Free Printable Handprint Craft PDF
The Free PDF includes two handprint templates. A Thanksgiving Handprint and a “Smell my feet” ghost footprint template. Choose which handprint template you will use and print enough for each child.
Step #2: Paint your child’s hand
Use the sponge brush to paint your child’s hand. Remember to have some water or wipes nearby in case things get messy!
Step #3: Press your child’s hand onto the handprint template
Make sure to lay the template on a flat surface and help your child press their hand onto the paper. Here’s the secret to getting a good handprint – Lift your child’s hand, straight up – this way fingers aren’t moving or sliding.
And you’re finished!
