Step #1: Get The Free Printable Handprint Craft PDF
The Free Hand Turkey Printable includes two handprint templates. Choose which one you want, and print one for each child. Just enter your info at the bottom of this post to get the link emailed to you.

Step #2: Gather your supplies
Use as little paint as possible to avoid messes. If you don’t have brown, mix all of the colors together to make a nice “preschool brown” 🙂

Step #3: Paint your child’s hand
Use the sponge brush to paint your child’s hand. Use fall colors on each finger. This will make the turkey’s feathers.

Remember to have some water or wipes nearby in case things get messy.
Step #3: Press your child’s hand onto the handprint template
Make sure to lay the template on a flat surface and help your child press their hand onto the paper. Here’s the secret to getting a good handprint – Lift your child’s hand, straight up – this way fingers aren’t moving or sliding.

Step #4: Add the details
Next, use markers to draw on the beak, feet, waddle, and eyes.

You can always use googly eyes or sticker eyes as a fun option.

And you’re finished
This is a great fall activity for kindergarteners and preschoolers or just for fun. Use this craft for Thanksgiving Classroom Feast, Thanksgiving Art, Fall Fun and more.
Your children will love painting their hands and leaving their mark on these cute pages.
