The Handprint Poem
The handprint poem on the printable reads:
As years go by, I’ll grow up so tall. And soon my hands won’t be this small. So, here’s a special handprint – a memory that is true. A treasure that I made just for you!
Step #2: Paint your child’s hand
Use the sponge brush to paint your child’s hand. Remember to have some water or wipes nearby in case things get messy!

Step #3: Press your child’s hand onto the handprint template

Make sure to lay the template on a flat surface and help your child press their hand onto the paper. Here’s the secret to getting a good handprint – Lift your child’s hand, straight up – this way fingers aren’t moving or sliding.
And you’re finished!
This is a great back to school craft or just for fun. But, I specifically did not include the words “First Day of School” because we all know how stressful it can be to get things done on the first day!
Use this craft any time of year! It’s also great for Preschool and Kindergarten Graduation
Your children will love painting their hand and leaving their mark on these cute pages!
