This pickup truck can be a Valentine’s Day Craft, Fall Craft for Kids, and a Christmas Craft. Or use your imagination to add anything to the pocket.
Make these trucks with preschoolers, elementary kids, for classroom parties, scouts and more.
Get the Free Truck Craft Template below and you will be able to make enough supplies for a group of 20 kids (or more) with about 15 minutes of cutting.

Step 1: Download and Print the Free Truck Template
Download the Free Holiday Truck Printable. The PDF file contains everything you need to make enough holiday trucks for the entire year.
Step 2: Cut Out the Truck Craft Shapes
Print the free templates. You will be stapling them to colored paper and cutting out as many shapes as you need.
Cut the printed template into the appropriate sections and staple the sections to multiple sheets of paper before cutting. You can cut out lots of shapes at one time.
If you want to make this craft with a group of kids, you can staple the template to up to 10 sheets of copy paper, 5 sheets of cardstock or 5-8 sheets of construction paper.
So, did you know, you can staple together 10 pieces of copy paper and cut out 10 shapes at a time?! That’s my SECRET to fast & easy crafting.
Stapling the paper is very important because it makes sure it doesn’t move as you cut. The more staples the better. Cardstock is the thickest so you may only be able to cut 5 sheets at a time.
Tip: While you’re cutting, if you cut off all parts of the pages that have staples, make sure to re-staple the sheets that are left.
Whenever you’re cutting multiple sheets at a time, make sure they are always stapled together.
Step 3: Cut Out the Truck Decorations
The Free Pocket Truck Printable comes with color decorations or black and white decorations. You will just need to decide if you will print in color or let the kids color their own decorations.
You can print a page for each child and let them cut out the shapes. I recommend printing these decorations on cardstock. The cardstock makes the shapes more durable as it’s nice to have hardier shapes to move in and out of the truck bed.
TIP: It’s easier to color the shape AFTER they are cut.
Step 4: How to Assemble
The kids will just need to glue it all together and make it their own.
- Glue the black wheels onto the bottom of the truck.
- Glue the white rims onto the wheels.
- Glue the black window onto the truck.
- Add glue to the right edge and bottom edge of the brown pocket (see image).
- Attach the brown pocket behind the truck bed (see image).
- Add glue to the right edge and left edge of the attached brown pocket (see image).
- Attach the brown panels to the truck bed to complete the pocket (see image).
- Cut & color your chosen decoration (hearts, pumpkins or tree) TIP: It’s easier to color the shape AFTER they are cut.
- Insert the shapes into the truck pocket.
- Don’t forget to write your name on the back.

This is a great transportation activity for preschoolers or a craft to make just for fun. It’s such a fun Fall Craft for Kids, Valentine’s Craft for Preschoolers, and Christmas Craft. Make it with Kindergarteners, Toddlers, Daycare, or just a fun craft at home idea.
