Did you know that purses were created just to carry coins? There wasn’t paper money back in the day (or tic tacs, lip gloss, or all of the other stuff in our purses). Read more about it on Wikipedia.

Step 2: Staple and Cut Out the Purse Craft Shapes

Once you have the purse craft templates printed out, staple them to construction paper and cut out multiple shapes at a time.
Note: If you want to make this craft with a group of kids, you can staple the template to up to 10 sheets of copy paper, 5 sheets of cardstock or 6-10 sheets of construction paper.
So, did you know, you can staple together 10 pieces of copy paper and cut out 10 shapes at a time?! That’s my SECRET to fast & easy crafting.
Stapling the paper is very important because it makes sure it doesn’t move as you cut. The more staples the better. Cardstock is the thickest so you may only be able to cut 5 sheets at a time.
Step 3: How to Assemble
The kids will have so much with this Mother’s Day purse craft.

I recommend having a purse that is already put together so the children can see what the final version will look like.
- Glue the handle to the top of the main purse body.
- Glue the heart or flower onto the center of your purse.
- If you’re making the flower, glue the circle onto the center of the flower.
- Glue the circle buttons under the handle.
- Optional: Glue your flowers to a paper background.
- Optional: Glue your note onto the back of the purse. Don’t forget to sign your name. And you’re finished

I receive your emails, and I love them! However, every time I click on a link to download a free activity, it asks me to sign up again. It’s very frustrating. It is very hard to get the activities 🙁
Hi Johanne,
The way the website works is that it sends every template via email. This means that I need your email address every time so I know which template you want. I can understand that it’s frustrating for you, but it’s the only way I can send the template to you. Thanks for understanding. Have a great day! ~Jeannie
