Step #1: Get The Free Printable Handprint PDF
The Free PDF includes two handprint templates. An American flag handprint and a USA Handprint Heart. Choose which handprint template you will use and print enough for each child.
Step #2: Paint your child’s hand
Use the sponge brush to paint your child’s hand. Remember to have some water or wipes nearby in case things get messy!
Your children will love the squishy feeling of paint on their hands. And it’s so fun to see their faces when they make their handprint on the pages.
Step #3: Press your child’s hand onto the handprint template
Make sure to lay the template on a flat surface and help your child press their hand onto the paper. Here’s the secret to getting a good handprint – Lift your child’s hand, straight up – this way fingers aren’t moving or sliding.
And you’re finished!
This is a great Fourth of July craft or any American Holiday. Use this craft any time of year! It’s perfect for Preschool, Daycare and Kindergarten.
